Private bus operator did heavy overloading.

Due to non-operation of government buses in the city, there was a lot of demand for private buses. There was a lot of overloading during this. The traffic police was also very kind on private buses. Private bus operators did not even walk on the time table. Whenever the buses ply in the city, they remained overloaded. Overloading of buses plying on all the routes in Shimla city has become common. Private buses do not move forward until they are filled several times more than their capacity. It is the endeavor of the conductors and drivers that not a single person is left vacant in the bus. These buses do not move from the bus stand until they are full.

Even if some buses are left empty at times, they are completely filled at the middle stoppages. However, according to the rules, more people than the number of seats in the buses cannot be carried in them. But operators running buses in Shimla city do not care about these rules. On Saturday, the Karena rules were violated fiercely. More passengers were seated in the buses. Private bus operators did not even obey the orders of the government. In a 32 seater bus, 4 passengers can travel standing at the rate of 25%. Whereas, private bus operators had installed double lines in buses. Due to this there was a public violation of the Karena rules.

Private buses did not run even on the time table
Private buses in the city did not run on the time table. On the route on which the facility was available, buses were started on the same route. In such a situation, it is clear that private bus operators are not following the rules. Violation of corona rules was clearly seen in Shimla city in the morning and evening from bus stand to suburbs like Baluganj, Tutu, Summerhill, Chakkar and Sanjauli. In the capital Shimla, the instructions of the government are being flouted. On many routes in buses, passengers have to go in overcrowded buses.

No action anywhere, no restriction
There was no check on this arbitrariness of private bus operators in the city. In Shimla, the drivers and conductors of private buses are neither wearing uniforms nor wearing name plates. There are orders of the government that it is necessary to put a name plate with the uniform. Private bus operators and their drivers are ignoring the conductor rules. Overloading of private buses is also taking place on the routes of nearby village towns like Local Route Tutu, Jatog, Summerhill, Sanjauli, Chhota Shimla and Shoghi.

We are aware: DSP
We are constantly giving directions to the bus drivers and operators regarding overloading in buses. Challans are also being deducted for violating the rules. Everyone will have to follow the Covid rules. The police is also making aware for this.
