In Raila of Sainj valley of district Kullu, a person has illegally captured and grown chillies and other vegetables at the crematorium itself. Along with the crematorium, the said person has also occupied the land of Gharat and the land of NHPC. People have complained about this to DC Kullu. Karan Singh, a resident of Raila, has written in the complaint letter to the Deputy Commissioner that a person named Jagdish Chand has grown chillies and other vegetables by occupying the crematorium and his house adjacent to Raila Khad.
He has also said in the complaint letter written to the Deputy Commissioner Kullu that we want to repair our house and in such a situation the said occupier and his family can fight and quarrel with them. Therefore, in view of these possibilities, timely action should be taken so that along with our land, NHPC land can also be saved from illegal occupation. He told that along with me Bhumi Chand, Hira Chand and Govind Ram, Manoj Kumar have also requested the Deputy Commissioner Kullu to take strict cognizance of the matter and remove the occupation of the cremation ground and Gharat land with immediate effect.
