In the name of Amazon Help, CM Flying has busted the call center which cheated US citizens up to one thousand dollars. In this regard, the team of CM Flying has arrested seven accused by registering a case in the cyber police station. The accused of cheating is a resident of Gujarat, who had taken a house in DLF Phase-5 on rent of Rs 1.15 lakh per month about three months back. In which the call center was being run. On Saturday, the police produced the accused in the court, from where the accused have been taken on remand.
CM Flying’s DSP Inderjit said that on the basis of information, a raid was conducted on the third floor of a house of DLF Phase-5. Here 26 boys and 10 girls were found talking in English through laptops and computers. During interrogation, the call center officials present here could not show any permission. The team arrested seven people present here by making a video of them. Nikunj, a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and his partners were not found here, the call center operator. The team has arrested Mukul Chauhan (36), Alok Sinha (30), Samir Kavle, Gaurang Sharma, Ravi Shirke, Rajasthan resident Bopung Foam, originally from Ahmedabad, and Bopung Phom, a resident of Rajasthan.
During interrogation, the accused told that he used to call them as employees and officers of e-commerce company Amazon to cheat American citizens. They used to cheat from 100 to one thousand dollars in the name of giving them help. To get this amount, he used to buy gift cards from citizens and redeem them. Police team has also recovered two hard disks of computer, one mobile from the accused.
