On September 13, Somaiya had accused Rural Development Minister Hassan Mushrif of Rs 127 crore scam. In this, he was going to Kolhapur along with some of his companions to investigate the matter.
In view of the danger of corona infection, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya going to Kolhapur has been taken into custody by the police at Karad in Satara district despite the ban imposed by the collector. Somaiya is accused of violating Section 144. At present, he is kept at the Governor’s Circuit House in Karad.
Kirit Somaiya was going from Mumbai to Kolhapur in Mahalaxmi Express. On September 13, Somaiya had accused Rural Development Minister Hassan Mushrif of Rs 127 crore scam. In this, he was going to Kolhapur along with some of his companions to investigate the matter.
Somaiya may hold a press conference in a while
Former MP Kirit Somaiya was deboarded from Mahalaxmi Express at Karad at 5 am on the orders of Additional Superintendent of Police Tirupati Kakade. During this, he said, “The administration and the police are not my enemies. I am descending on their request.” Kolhapur Additional District Superintendent Tirupati Kakade had himself gone to Karad railway station to drop Somaiya from the train. However, after leaving Mumbai, Somaiya was requested by the police to disembark at the two earlier stations from Kolhapur.
This was the allegation of Somaiya on Minister Mushrif
Somaiya will clarify his role by holding a press conference in a while. It is believed that after this he can return to Mumbai. The former MP had leveled allegations of scam of Rs 127 crore against Minister Hasan Mushrif. Somaiya had said that I have given the complete proof of the scam done by Hasan Mushrif to the Income Tax Department, which is about 2700 pages.
There was a threat of facing the consequences on coming to Kolhapur
Kirit was supposed to visit Mushrif’s factory in Kolhapur on September 20 and 21 to collect evidence in the same case. Musharraf’s supporters had warned NCP workers that he would face consequences if Somaiya came to Kolhapur. In view of all these developments, Somaiya was banned by the District Collector of Kolhapur from coming here.
Additional Superintendent of Police Tirupati Kakade also reached Karad railway station to get Kirit Somaiya off the train.
Mushrif will complain to ED
On September 13, Somaiya had said that Hasan Mushrif and his family had done transactions worth Rs 127 crore through money laundering, hawala transactions and shell companies. Let us tell you that Hasan Mushrif is currently the Minister of Rural Development in the Government of Maharashtra and the leader of NCP. Somaiya said that he will also complain to Mushrif in the ED.
‘This scam could be big’
Somaiya had said that 3 lakh 78 thousand shares have been shown in Santaji Ghorpade Sugar Mill in the name of Mushrif’s wife Sahira Hasan Mushrif. Mushrif is accused of scam through a shell company named CRM Systems Pvt Ltd. A few years ago, there was an income tax raid on the Hasan Mushrif family.
Anil Parab also accused
Earlier, Kirit Somaiya has accused State Transport Minister Anil Parab, Milind Narvekar, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, including illegal construction work and land grabbing. Apart from this, Bhavna Gawli, Ravindra Vaykar, Jitendra Awhad, Chhagan Bhujbal, Yashwant Jadhav, Yamini Jadhav and Milind Narvekar have been accused of scam.
