Faridabad. Vehicle recovered from the possession of thieves gang.
Police have arrested four members of the vehicle theft and mobile snatching gang. They used to come to Faridabad, 65 km from Gautam Budh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh to steal. Their names are Nafees, Rashid, Farid alias Adu and Naushad. Twelve cases of theft and snatching are registered against the four accused in different police stations of Faridabad.
According to Crime Branch-48 in-charge Sub-Inspector Rakesh Singh, on the basis of CCTV footage, the accused were identified and raided at many places to nab them. After this, the first accused Nafees and Rashid were arrested on July 22 near the flyover of Sector 55-56. After that, on July 26, accused Farid alias Adu was arrested from Hardware Chowk and accused Naushad from Sohna bridge. They were produced in the court and taken on police remand.
During police interrogation, it was found that the accused are very clever who used to come to Faridabad from Uttar Pradesh to steal. They used to roam here looking for motorcycle theft. As soon as they got a chance, in the blink of an eye, they used to steal motorcycles and take them to UP and sell them. Naushad, one of the accused, deals in buying and selling of motorcycles. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they used to steal as well as do mobile snatching. 12 stolen motorcycles and 8 mobile phones have been recovered from their possession. Police is interrogating the accused in other cases as well. After interrogation, the accused will be produced in the court and sent to jail.
