During the lockdown, people used to come and go to the hotel from the back gate.

The team of Child Helpline raided the unique Indian Family restaurant located in Machhagar village and rescued five minor children working there. A case was registered against the restaurant owner at Sadar Ballabhgarh police station. The police arrested the accused owner and produced him in the court from where he was sent to jail. The arrested accused has been identified as Ranvir Putra Mukhtiar, a resident of Machgar village. The rescued children exposed the whole lot of activities happening in the restaurant. The rescued children told that the owner used to serve liquor to the customers from them.

Child Helpline member Ravindra Singh and District Coordinator Sunita Devi said that they had received information that the owner of Unique Indian Family Restaurant located in Machhagar was doing child labor for a long time. On information, he informed the Sadar police and along with the police team raided the restaurant. In the raid, the team found five minors doing child labor. He was freed and he was counselled. Police registered a case against restaurant owner Ranveer and arrested him on Wednesday. The age of child laborers is said to be 10 to 16 years.

The rescued children opened the pole

The children told the police team that the owner used to get them to clean utensils, chop onions, get glasses, water and liquor to the customer who drinks alcohol at the dhaba. The child told that he used to work here even in lockdown. Customers used to come to the dhaba from the back way. The children had to work from 9 am to 10 pm. Instead, he used to give only 3500 to 5000 rupees. On the other hand, police station in-charge Arjun Dev told that the accused Ranveer was arrested and presented in the court from where he has been sent to jail.
