There is good news for the people waiting to travel by local train in Mumbai. Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Aslam Shaikh on Wednesday indicated that any passenger who has been administered both doses of the corona vaccine may be allowed to travel in suburban train service within two to three days.

Giving information in the state cabinet meeting, the cabinet minister said, “Detailed discussions have been held regarding opening of Mumbai local trains and Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) buses for fully vaccinated persons.”

Shaikh said that I think people who have taken both doses of corona vaccine should be allowed to travel in Mumbai local. He said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has also been informed in this regard. After studying the report of the task force, a decision will be taken by the state government regarding Mumbai local in two to three days. He said that the restrictions imposed for the last four months regarding Corona are now being relaxed. The decision on Mumbai local is also expected soon.

The local train, which is called the lifeline of Mumbai, has been closed for the general public for the last 4 months. At present, only employees associated with essential services are allowed to travel in local trains.

6,857 new cases of corona in Maharashtra, 286 died
With the arrival of 6,857 new cases of Kovid-19 in Maharashtra on Wednesday, the total number of infected people increased to 62,82,914, while the death toll reached 1,32,145 due to the death of 286 more patients during this period. According to the Health Department, 6,105 patients of Kovid-19 were also infection free during the last 24 hours in the state, due to which the number of people who defeated this deadly virus in the state has increased to 60,64,856.
