The last rites of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh will be held on Saturday at Rampur Bushahr in Shimla district. His body is kept in the Padam Palace in Rampur. Congress National President Sania Gandhi has nominated a 4-member delegation to attend the funeral of Virbhadra Singh, who will be present on behalf of the All India Congress Committee in Rampur. The delegation includes Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, All India Congress Committee treasurer Pawan Bansal, All India Congress Working Committee member Anand Sharma and state affairs in-charge Rajiv Shukla. Rajeev Shukla is in Shimla for the last 2 days. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will reach Rampur directly. State Congress General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta said that Congress Committee Secretary Sanjay Dutt, State Congress President Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri and all MLAs, former MLAs and party functionaries will be specially present at the funeral of Virbhadra Singh in Rampur tomorrow. The Congress party has lost its great personality, Jannayak, in whose final farewell the party will leave no stone unturned.

Virbhadra Singh died at around 4 am on Thursday. On that day the body of Raja Saheb was kept in his Shimla residence, Holy Lodge. After this, on Friday morning, it was brought to the Ridge Maidan for the public, where BJP National President JP Nadda arrived to pay tribute to him. After this the body was taken to the Congress Bhavan, where Rahul Gandhi reached to pay tribute to him. From here the mortal remains of Virbhadra Singh were taken to Rampur, where on arrival, a large crowd gathered for his darshan. From Shimla to Rampur, people bid their last farewell to their popular leader. During this, people also showered flowers on the body of Virbhadra Singh.

died due to corona and multi-organ failure

Virbhadra Singh, a senior Congress leader and six-time Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, was 87 years old. IGMC Senior Medical Superintendent Dr. Janak Raj told that he breathed his last at 3.40 am on Thursday. He was found to be suffering from coronavirus twice on 12 April and 11 June, after which his health started deteriorating. Virbhadra Singh was admitted to the hospital for the last two months, but on Monday, doctors put him on ventilator as his health deteriorated. Since then Virbhadra Singh was in an unconscious state and died on Thursday morning due to multi-organ failure. 15 days mourning has been announced on the death of Virbhadra Singh. No political programs of the party will be organized during this period. Party General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta gave this information.
