Helping the farmers of Maharashtra: Modi government gave an amount of Rs 1,149 crore in a year to double the income of the farmers of Maharashtra

Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut had sought details of steps taken by the Modi government to double the income of farmers of Maharashtra.

In order to double the income of the farmers of Maharashtra, the central government allocated a total amount of Rs 1,149.10 crore in 2020-21 through 12 different schemes. In fact, through an unstarred question in the Lok Sabha, Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut had sought details of the steps taken by the Modi government to double the income of farmers of Maharashtra.

Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, while giving a written answer to the question of Shiv Sena MP Raut, said that in 2020-21, Maharashtra will get 153.36 crore for National Food Security Mission (NFSM), 400 crore per drop more crop component scheme of PMKSY. Rs.39.38 crore for NFSM (OS&OP) scheme, Rs.77.92 crore for Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), Rs.0.46 crore for Soil Health Management (SHM) scheme, Rs. 5.69 crore for Soil Health Card (SHC) scheme Rs.290.88 crore for Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna, Rs.17.41 crore for Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) scheme, Rs.19 crore for RAD scheme, Rs.130 crore for Integrated Development Mission for Horticulture (MIDH), Rs.130 crore on Agro-Forestry An amount of Rs 2 crore has been allocated for Sub-Mission (SMAF) and Rs 13 crore for Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY).

Mumbai: BJP spokesperson Uday Pratap Singh has slammed the Thackeray government after the central government disclosed the funds allocated for doubling the income of farmers of Maharashtra, saying that it has been proved that the Maharashtra government has to do with the central government. All possible help is being given from the side, but the state government itself does not want to do anything in the interest of the farmers of the state.

Amount allocated over 5 years

The Modi government allocated an amount of about Rs 6,353.97 crore to Maharashtra through 12 schemes to double the income of the state’s farmers in five years.
