The High Court in Gwalior has given strict instructions for FIR against the police officers in the case of beating and torturing the rape victim and her family members at the behest of the accused’s grandfather Ganga Singh Bhadauria at the Murar police station. The High Court has asked to register a case directly against TI Ajay Pawar, SI Kirti Upadhyay of Murar police station.

Along with this, instructions have been given to throw all these police officers out of Gwalior-Chambal zone with immediate effect. The phone calls of the police officers and the grandfather of the accused should be investigated.

A girl had told in relation to the incident after reaching Murar police station, stating that she was 15 years old and had alleged that she used to work as a broom in the house of Ganga Singh Bhadauria, a resident of CP Colony. He was hired from 20 December 2020. She lived on the ground floor of the house. Ganga Singh’s grandson Aditya Bhadauria and a friend knocked on my door at 8 pm on 31 January. When the door was opened, Aditya and his friends entered the room. He raped me. After that he ran away after being threatened. Was very scared, first called on the CM help line. Where on getting the information, the Murar police reached the police station with him. The police have registered a case of rape against Aditya’s friend. But as soon as the case was registered, the grandfather and contractor of accused Aditya Bhadauria reached Ganga Singh Bhadauria police station. After that the police started torturing the victim on the contrary. The victim had said that she was beaten up with a broom and a stick throughout the night in the police station. His parents were taken hostage in the police station and beaten up by the police. In this, TI Murar Ajay Pawar, Sub Inspector Kirti Upadhyay were directly accused.
High court lashed out at police officers, gave investigation to CBI
- The minor rape victim had filed a petition in the High Court. Advocate Anil Mishra of the petitioner argued that Aditya Singh Bhadauria and one of his friends raped and beat up the minor. When the Murar police station reached the police with a complaint, on the contrary, the police started harassing the minor. He also tampered with the evidence. After arguments on June 17, the court had reserved the verdict. The verdict in this matter was pronounced on Wednesday. The court, in its 129-page order, said that the police did not take action against the accused in the case and continued to torture the victim and her family. Police officers ranging from female sub-inspector to ASP level continued to influence the case at the behest of the accused’s grandfather Ganga Singh Bhadauria. There is a flaw in the police investigation. A fair investigation into the matter is necessary.
