Two maids working in the house of a cloth merchant living in Abhishek Bungalows, located near Anuvrat gate in City Light, stole goods worth Rs 6 lakh including 4 lakh cash and jewelery worth Rs 2 lakh. The merchant had hired both of them to do the work 10 days back. A complaint has been lodged with Khatodara police station in this regard.

According to the information, Sanjay Vinod Kejriwal, who lives in bungalow number-5 of Abhishek Bungalows, located near Anuvrat gate in City Light, does the business of clothes. NSTM Textile Market located on Poona-Kumbharia Road has a cloth shop by the name of Naveen Prints. On June 23, Sanjay Kejriwal had hired two women, Sita and Garima, to work in the house. Sanjay’s daughter living in Mumbai was hospitalized after her health deteriorated.

On June 29, Sanjay had gone to Mumbai with the family to see his daughter. Meanwhile, both the maids stole goods worth Rs 6 lakh, including Rs 4 lakh cash and jewelery worth Rs 2 lakh, kept in the almirah. Sanjay returned from Mumbai on July 4 when the cupboard was open. Upon investigation, it was found to have been stolen. Sanjay has lodged a complaint against both the maids at Khatodara police station. The police haven’t arrested anyone yet.
