India has set a new record for vaccination. On Monday, 88.13 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the country. This is so far the highest in the country and the world in the vaccination done within a day.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted on Tuesday that the world’s largest vaccination drive was conducted in India. Congratulations to the countrymen for this. There has never been a vaccination on such a large scale in history. Till Monday, 55 crore vaccine doses have been administered in India. For this, more than 62 lakh sessions were conducted.

Highest recovery rate in the country
At present, the recovery rate of corona infected in India is 97.57%. This is the highest since March 2020. More than 3 crore 22 lakh people were corona infected in the country. Out of this, 3 crore 14 lakh people have been recovered.

New cases lowest after 154 days
On August 16, 24,692 cases of corona were registered in the country, 36,862 people defeated the disease while 438 infected people died. The number of new cases remained the lowest after 154 days. Earlier on March 15, 24,437 new cases had come. On Monday, a decline of 12,610 has also been registered in the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment. Now a total of 3.63 lakh patients are being treated.
