In this episode, Narsee Monjee School of Science, Vileparle, Mumbai has prepared a mask named ‘TP100’. Its special feature is that it is a battery operated mask. It is being claimed that the virus coming in contact with it from outside will die outside. Copper filter has been used in this mask.
It has been claimed by the school that this is the country’s first battery operated mask. Not only corona, any virus will die as soon as it comes on the surface of this mask. This mask will be available for sale in the market this week.
After hard work, the mask was prepared in 8 months
Dr Nitin Desai, Dean of the school said that it took a total of 8 months of hard work to prepare this unique mask. According to Desai, the mask has passed all the government guidelines and will soon be available for sale in the market. The institute is doing its commercial production in association with ‘Milton Pharma Company’. The special thing is that these masks will be available in 40 different designs in the market. Its price will be between Rs 800 to Rs 1,000.
This mask has cotton in four layers and metal in one layer.
It has a metal mesh and four layers of cotton.
According to the school’s dean, ‘Currently people are using simple cloth or N-95 masks, they have air quality filters. While they protect against airgels and large dust particles, they do not protect against most human pathogens. In contrast, this new type of mask has four-layer cotton with a metal mesh that acts as an electric filter. During inhalation and exhalation, the bacteria that come in contact with the mask are killed instantly, providing complete protection to the wearer.
Its price will be between Rs 800 to Rs 1,000.
The battery of this mask lasts for 6 months
According to Desai, this mask is reusable and eco-friendly. If used with proper care and can be replaced, the battery lasts for more than six months. Desai said, it was used continuously for 72 hours in the lab. This mask stops the growth of bacteria and fungus by up to 99.9 percent. The most important thing about this mask is that its outer part can also be washed.
