NEW DELHI: Audi India kickstarted its electrification journey on Thursday with the launch of its all-electric SUV series, e-tron with a starting price of Rs 99.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The German carmaker is the third luxury brand to enter the sunrise sector and currently faces Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar i-Pace as its primary rivals.

Audi India expects up to 15 per cent of its total sales through electric vehicles by 2025 and is set to launch another EV by the end of this year.
Globally, Audi aims to have entirely carbon-neutral operations by 2050 with 20 electric models in circulation by 2025.
Balbir Dhillion, head of Audi India described the company’s electrification journey as ‘a marathon, not a sprint.’ While the current e-tron series is imported as a CPU, Audi may manufacture models locally in the future.
