New rules of vaccination: 160 doses of Covishield, 500 doses of Covaccine required for private vaccination centers

For private hospitals, the cost of a single dose of the vaccine has been fixed at a maximum of Rs 150 per dose. The cost of Kovidshield vaccine for private Kovid vaccination centers has been fixed at Rs 780, for Kov and Sputnik-V at Rs 1145 by the vaccine manufacturers inclusive of all the expenses.

The Health Department has urged the district administration to keep a watch on the prices of vaccines being provided to the people by private COVID vaccination centers and strict action should be taken against PCVCs charging more than the prescribed rates.

Dr. Barry, Deputy Mission Director, NHSM, said that private COVID vaccination centers will have to take at least 160 doses of CoVShield and 500 doses of CoVacin and procure the vaccine through the COVIN portal.
