The UT administration has asked all educational institutes and universities to start their classes from August. At the same time, the Punjab government has also ordered to open not only colleges and universities but also schools from August.
In such a situation, the university will have a meeting in the next week to consider all the orders. However, the campus is likely to open only from the upcoming academic session. For the already ongoing classes, this session will start in August itself while for the rest it will start from September.
University collecting vaccination data
The university has started collecting data related to the vaccination of its teachers and non-teaching staff, but so far they do not have any information regarding the students. The education department of UP had also asked PU to collect information in this regard, but only colleges and PEC have shared their figures. According to this, only 67% of students have got the vaccine so far. Although earlier it is necessary that at least 2 weeks have passed since all the students got the first dose of the vaccine, but the university has not asked for any such information from the student yet.
