The faith of the people in the independence of the judiciary is paramount not only in the public interest but also in the interest of the society. It is the responsibility of lawyers, judges, legislators and officials to maintain this trust of the people. The High Court made this observation while dismissing a petition challenging the transfer orders. Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Satyen Vaidhi said that there is no place for a plaintiff like the petitioner in the court.

Labor Inspector Rajinder Kumar had challenged his transfer orders in the High Court saying that he was transferred to accommodate Labor Inspector Anil Kumar Chauhan posted in Sundernagar circle in his place. On perusal of the record, the court found that the petitioner had made a request to the High Court to quash the transfer order and made the same request to the department by putting a DO note in his favor. Due to which the court got the impression that the appellant has no faith in the court.
