Municipal employees seizing goods in Lower Bazar.

  • Tehbazaris are also decorating their shops in empty places

Municipal corporation’s campaign is going on in the city regarding overhanging. On Wednesday also, the MC team confiscated the goods of 19 shops in Laar Bazar. These shopkeepers had overhanging. In such a situation, now the MC will auction the seized goods.

Even before this, the corporation administration cut the challans of local shopkeepers for overhanging and tahbazaris and also confiscated their goods. Despite this, there is no stopping the arbitrariness of the shopkeepers. Wedding season is going on these days. People are also reaching the market in large numbers to shop.

There is a lot of crowd in the entire market of Shimla. The main reason for this is also that the markets were closed for a long time and people were not able to go out to shop. Now as soon as the market opened, crowds of people started gathering in the market and shopkeepers are also seen negligent in the pursuit of profits.

Wherever they are getting space in the market, they sit there with the goods, due to which the common people do not even get a place to walk in the market. In such a situation, people are unable to buy goods in the market by maintaining proper physical distance due to corona infection.

This poses a risk of spreading the infection. Despite action, some people are not following the rules. Court orders are being disobeyed. The municipal administration says that even if the shopkeeper goes against the rules, strict action will be taken against him.
