On Sunday, 8 new cases of Omicron were found in Maharashtra. Out of these, one patient has been found in Pune and 7 in Pimpri Chinchwad district. With this, the total number of infected people in the state has increased to 8. Of the 6, 3 of the infected had come to Pimpri from Lagos, Nigeria on 24 November. Among them is a 44-year-old woman. The woman had come to her brother’s house along with her two daughters aged 12 and 18.

13 people who came in contact with him were tested, out of which his brother and his two daughters got infected. Some time ago the National Institute of Virology, Pune has confirmed their infection. At present, 13 people of this family have been kept in a separate ward at Jija Mata Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad. 5 out of 6 infected patients have no symptoms. The woman has minor cold and cold. Of these 6 people, 3 are people under the age of 18, they have not had any vaccination. While three people have been given both doses of the vaccine.

Apart from these, Omicron has been confirmed in a person in Alandi, Pimpri Chinchwad. District Health Officer Bhagwan Pawar said that in Alandi also 1 person has been infected with Omicron. So far two have been infected in Pune and 6 in Pimpri Chinchwad.

One person got infected in Pune too

Out of these three, 2 have been given co-vaccine and one has been given co-vaccine. A person from Pune city had gone to Finland from 18 to 25 November, got fever on 29th, so he did a covid test, he was found to be Omicron positive. He had taken both the doses of Kovishild, at present he is not showing any symptoms. In Maharashtra, 4901 passengers from Omicron affected countries were tested.

Corona test negative of 267 citizens returned to Pune from abroad!

Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said that after November 10, 438 citizens have returned from abroad in Pune city, out of which 370 are within the municipal limits. 335 citizens out of 370 have been traced and RT-PCR test of 267 passengers has been done so far. All the reports have come negative.

The first case of Omicron has come to light in Delhi today.

Earlier on Sunday morning, the first case of Omicron was detected in Delhi. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the infected had come from Tanzania. After investigation at the airport, it was reported that he was infected with Omicron. He has been admitted to LNJP Hospital in Delhi.
