Patients of Corona growing with symptoms of cold and cough and those who have recovered after infection are now afraid of getting TB after Karena. Now the central government has issued a guideline regarding this and the health department has become alert and the department has started TB testing. In many places, up to 40 percent of people are found infected with TB in testing. This testing is being done for those people who are infected or have recovered after that.
However, the central government has also been instructed to conduct TV screening of all ILI (Influenza Like Illness) and SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Infection) patients. Both TB and Kovid-19 are infectious diseases that first attack the lungs, the symptoms of both diseases are similar i.e. cough, fever and shortness of breath. The disease develops very slowly after TB infection. While Karena is rapidly catching the lungs of the patient.
This is the cure for TB
TB is completely curable. It is treated free of cost in government hospitals and DOTS centers. The most important thing is that the treatment should go on till the TB is completely cured. If left in between, the bacteria develop resistance against the drugs and treatment becomes very difficult because common medicines do not work. If you have a cough for more than 3 weeks, see a doctor. Take the full course of medicine, that too on a regular basis.
TB infected are more at risk: Experts have found that active and latent infection history of TB is the highest risk factor for SARS-Covid disease. This greatly increases the susceptibility to COVID infection and rapidly emerges with severe symptoms. People infected with TB have been found to have more than double the risk of contracting the COVID-19 disease.

Although these people were not Corona positive. But when the CT scan of such patients was done, the lungs started contracting. After Kareena, there has been some increase in TV patients because a Kareena infected patient or a person who has recovered from Kareena can get TB. Because the corona and TB are clinging to the lungs. In such a situation, there is an appeal to the people that if they have got corona and cough is more than two weeks or is losing weight, then they should get tested for TB immediately. It is done free of cost in all hospitals and its complete treatment is also being done free of cost. We are moving towards the goal of TB free. The Government of India aims to make TB free by 2025.
