  • There were long lines of ration takers at more than 1900 shops in Delhi.

On the instructions of the Center, keeping in mind the transparency and national portability, the server went down five times from 8 am on Sunday after the Delhi government implemented the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme’ without any preparation. Due to the server being closed for hours, there were long lines of people taking ration at more than 1900 shops in Delhi. Corona guide line continued to be violated at ration shops.

Under the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme’ to provide free ration to the PDC card holder for July 2021 under NFSA 2013 and PMGKAY, the Government of Delhi has installed Biometric system e POS machine at the shops for distribution of ration. According to the ration shopkeepers, sometimes due to the frequent sitting of the server from the Food and Civil Supplies Department, and sometimes due to the weak internet at the shops, there is a huge crowd of people taking ration at the ration shops.

On these machines, the retina of the eyes is also scanned by taking the thumb impression of the ration takers. But due to the crowd at ration shops, biometric authentication and sanitization of e-POS machines are also not being done. In this regard, Bhaskar was told by Anita Bhatia FSO that the duty of civil defense has been imposed on the shops to follow the Corona guide line, while he kept silent about the server being down again and again.

The server has been down five times since morning. At the time of Corona, due to the crowd at the shops, the customer complained about the noise and sent videos, photos. No civil defense staff was given duty, there is a violation of Kovid guidelines everywhere, I have made this complaint to the department.
