Police action: accused of love jihad on remand for two days, priest will be interrogated

Sheikh Mohammad Akhtar alias Mukesh Gupta, an accused in the love jihad case in Dindoli, was produced in the court on Saturday. Where the police had sought five days remand of the accused from the court. After the arguments of APP, appearing on behalf of the government in this case, the court granted the remand of the accused for two days. The accused told the police that he had not seen the Hanuman temple where the marriage took place.

That’s why the police want to keep the accused along and investigate the Hanuman temple and its priest and take a statement. The defense argued that the issues raised by the police did not require remand. It is noteworthy that the accused had also grabbed Rs 13.70 lakh from the relatives of the complainant in the name of getting jobs in Railways.
