A case of liquor smuggling has come to the fore under the guise of supplying lime powder in textile mills. Police have arrested four smugglers who were carrying liquor worth 2 lakhs hidden in lime sacks. The PCB team had received information that under the guise of lime powder used in the mills, liquor is being brought from Jodhpur in Rajasthan in a truck hidden in lime sacks. When the police searched a suspicious truck, liquor bottles were kept hidden in lime sacks.

The truck was parked in an open field near Sachin GIDC Naka. The PCB team has recovered goods worth 29.32 lakh including liquor and truck worth 2.28 lakh. The police have arrested Bhakhar Ram son Amra Ram Bhat, Ramswaroop son Sohanlal Bishnoi, Kishanlal son Barmachand Sharma and Shravan son Jora Ram Kumawat.
