The crime branch has arrested the absconding accused in the murder case of Sachin GIDC’s Laxmi Villa township 10 years ago. According to the information received, the police were on patrol when they came to know that 31-year-old accused Ishwar Prasad alias Mannu Arjun Shukla is in Mumbai. After this the police arrested him and brought him to Surat.
The accused told that his mother had died in the year 2007. After this he was talking to his uncle Rakesh Shukla in Surat about the distribution of village land. There was a dispute about this. Meanwhile, one day in anger, in June 2011, he came to Surat from his village Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh.
He came to know that Rakesh Shukla Sachin works in a factory on GIDC Road No. After this, he did a recce of that place for 2 to 3 days and one day when his uncle was going to work on foot, he picked up a knife with a vegetable lorry and ran away after hitting him in the stomach. After this he kept changing his address in many cities of Delhi and Mumbai.
