Police raid: 57 kg ganja recovered in Puri-Ahmedabad Express

Illegal consignment of ganja being transported in Puri-Ahmedabad Express going from Puri to Ahmedabad was recovered at Surat railway station. This action was taken by the Railway SOG and NDPS team. Two passengers were getting down from coach S-8 of Puri-Ahmedabad Express, which arrived at platform 1 of Surat station late at 3 pm. They both had two bags. He was brought to the Railway Police Office for not giving a satisfactory answer. When the bag was checked, a total of 57 kg of ganja was recovered from it. The accused gave their names as Kanha Shetty and Mangal Patra. Both are residents of Ganjam in Odisha.
