Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday released Rs 380 crore which will be spent by the Health and Medical Education Departments to prepare for a possible third wave of the COVID pandemic. The Chief Minister also gave green signal to fill up 330 faculty posts in Medical Colleges of Patiala and Amritsar along with 674 GDMOs, 283 Medical Officers, 2000 Staff Nurses. CM instructed the departments to prepare for conducting at least 40000 tests per day.

All government institutions associated with the Department of Technical Education should work digitally
In order to prevent further spread of corona pandemic, the Chief Minister has ordered all government offices, including subordinate offices, to do official work only on e-office. Apart from this, orders have also been issued that correspondence and other documents should be sent to the main office and government institutions on behalf of private institutions only through e-mail. To ensure that all office work is done through digital mode only.
