According to BRO Lt Col, in view of the situation, traffic on both sides of Sakash Nallah on Manali-Leh National Highway has been stopped. Conditions are not safe for road cleaning for the next 12 hours. So the BRO will clear the road when the rain stops and the water level recedes.

The road from Tadin to Udaipur (SH-26) near Kirting, Kamring and Kukum Seri has been blocked for traffic due to rising water level in drains in the valley. At the same time, the National Highway near Sakash Nallah is also blocked due to increase in water level due to heavy rains. Apart from this, the Darcha-Shinkula road of Manali-Leh highway is also blocked for traffic. Because the debris of the drains also came on the roads. Due to which many roads have been closed for vehicular movement. The Changote bridge has also been washed away, cutting off the villagers’ contact with the city.

Superintendent of Police Lahaul Spiti Manav Verma said that 4 persons of BRO Graf 94 RCC, 2 laborers Airtel VTL, 4 others were traveling. They were going towards Pangi-Kilad. All these people are missing. Apart from this, three people have been rescued and one has been referred to Kullu in a critically injured condition. Those rescued from Tojing drain include Mohan Singh (38) son Lal Chand village Chhating, sub-division Udaipur and an army jawan. At the same time, mobile connectivity has been disrupted till Udaipur due to heavy rains.

Manikaran in Kullu was also flooded at exactly 6 am on Wednesday due to heavy rains. Mother and son have been swept away in it. At the same time, a camping site has also been affected by floods. It is being told that another woman has also gone missing in this flood. At the same time, when the water level of the Brahmaganga river assumed a formidable form, there was panic among the people. People started running towards safer places. When the flood waters rose towards a house, the mother and son also started running towards a safe place, but both could not save themselves and were washed away. It is being told that the father-in-law of the woman is safe. The administration has sent a rescue team to the spot and the rescue work is going on. The missing people have been identified as Pooja (26) wife Rohit Kumar resident of Brahmaganga, Manikarn, Nikunj (4) son Rohit Kumar, Vinita (25) daughter Vinod Kumar resident of Ghaziabad and another person Virendra son Teerth Ram resident of Sangana village.
