Review meeting: Sample test will be done in IRL lab, TB patients did not come to the hospital from Corona, hence the decrease

On Friday, a review meeting of the officials of South Gujarat with the State TB officers was held at the Civil Hospital. In this, doctors admitted that the number of TB patients has decreased during Kovid-19. However, now the number of patients has started increasing again. Doctors said that the system of hospitals had deteriorated due to corona. Even TB patients did not come to the hospital because of fear. Patients with symptoms of TB will be asked for treatment.

Report will be available in civil itself in 25 days
Surat’s TB IRL Lab has now been made a National Accredited Lab, where culture reports of the disease can be prepared. Dr Parul Vadgama, HOD, TB-Chest Department of Civil, said that 5 to 7 patients are cultured every week. Their samples are now sent to Ahmedabad. It takes one to one and a half months to get the report. Now its report will be made in civil in 25 days.
