Two closed washeries of BCCL will reopen, while one washery will be renovated. The DPR of CMPDIL regarding the renovation was reviewed in the meeting of FDs (Functional Directors) of the company held in Kolkata on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chairman, Call India, Pramed Aggarwal.

While objecting to some points of the report, the chairman has ordered to prepare the report again after making corrections. At present, the reports of Madhuban and Milk Washery have been prepared by SCMPDIL. Madhuban will be renovated by Rs 159 crore and milk washery by Rs 136 crore. The report of Mahuda washery is in its final stages. Now there is a possibility of Dugdha and Madhuban Washery to be operational again.

Madhuban and Dugda have a capacity of 4.5 million tonnes per annum
Madhuban (capacity 2.5 MTPA) was constructed in the year 1998, Mahuda (6.3 MTPA) in 1989 and Dugdha Washery (2 MTPA) in 1969. Washeries will run on outsourcing after renovation.
