The villagers searched both the injured in the dark and took them to the hospital.

An Alto car fell into a 150-feet deep gorge in Sarkaghat sub-division of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The car driver died on the spot in the accident. Another person was seriously injured. The accident happened in Lower Patta village of Gahar Panchayat.

The car riders were returning from Fatehpur. The deceased was identified as Dayal Singh son of Dunichand village Patta post office Gahar. The name of the injured is Joginder Pal son Mahantram. The sound of the car crashing was heard by the people around and they rushed towards the spot.

According to villagers, the car had fallen into a ditch about 150 feet deep from the road. Joginder Pal, who was traveling in it, was taken out of the car by the villagers and brought to the roadside, but Dayal Singh jumped out and was lying in the bushes, which got delayed due to darkness.

The villagers put both in a private vehicle and brought them to the civil hospital Sarkaghat, where the doctors declared Dayal Singh brought dead. Joginder Pal has been referred to Medical College Ner Chowk after first aid. The doctor informed the police about the accident.

DSP Chanderpal Singh has confirmed the incident.
