Another case filed against RTI activist Harendra Dhingra’s son

  • DLF Phase-1 Police Station registered a case and started investigation

The Chairman of Railway Board is my relative. I will get whatever tender you want. RTI activist Harendra Dhingra and his son, who made this claim, have been accused by a person of cheating Rs 4 lakh in the name of getting railway tender. DLF Phase-1 Police Station has started investigation by registering a case.

Keshav Kumar Chaudhary, originally a resident of Rewari, told the police that he had met Harendra Dhingra in September 2010. He had told Dhingra to get the railway tender in Rae Bareli. Harendra had told him that the then railway chairman was his close relative. He will easily get the tender for the railways. In lieu of getting the tender, four lakh rupees were demanded. In October 2010, Keshav gave a demand draft of Rs 4 lakh in the name of Prashant Dhingra, son of Harendra. On not getting the tender, Keshav demanded Rs 4 lakh back from Harendra.

It is alleged that Harendra took Rs 5 lakh more, saying that the tender process should be done again and this time this tender should be allotted in his name. After that, a demand draft of 2.61 lakh was taken for re-tendering. Every time the accused kept evading by making some excuse or the other. Now he has registered a case by giving a complaint to the police.
