Silencer gang: Seven accused caught, Rs 10 lakh. goods recovered; A minor was also among the arrested accused, 21 silencers were found

Surat Crime Branch Police has arrested a minor along with six people of the gang who stole the silencers of Eco cars from Varachha. The police have seized goods worth 10.51 lakh from all the arrested accused. Police have recovered 21 silencers, one car, three bikes and six mobiles from the arrested accused.

The police was investigating the case of silencer theft. The gang stealing silencers from eco cars was active in Surat city. In the recent past, silencers were stolen from dozens of eco cars in Sarthana, Kapodra, Varachha, Puna, Salabatpura, Amroli, Udhna of the city.

Smugglers stole the silencer from the car and fitted the old silencer and left. Police investigation revealed that the gang used to steal the silencer for the precious palladium Catholic dust found in the silencer of the Eco car. It sells very expensive.

Crime Branch police personnel had received information that the accused who stole the silencer were standing near Varachha Mantra Homes Char Road. After this the police team raided and caught all the accused. Anil Giri Goswami, one of the arrested accused, told that he and his friend Keyur Ajani run a partnership shop in the name of Shiv Motor CNG Fitting Kit and Garage near Lake Garden in Mota Varachha.

There he works to fit CNG gas cylinders in the eco car. Then they came to know that such a powder is found in the silencer of this vehicle, which is sold very expensive in the market. After this he started stealing the silencer along with his associates.
