Schools are going to open in the state after three and a half months. Students will be able to come to school from August 2. Now coaching institutes and tuition centers will also open in the state. These centers will open from July 26. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of CM Jai Ram Thakur. Schools will have to strictly follow the SOP made to prevent corona infection. The cabinet has approved the opening of schools for the students of classes 10th, 11th and 12th with SOP. Residential and partial residential schools can also be opened for these classes with SOP.

Research students of universities will be allowed to visit the university from the dates notified by the university authority. The cabinet decided to allow the students of classes 5th and 8th to come to school from August 2 to clear their academic doubts.

The Cabinet has approved opening of three SDM offices at Nirmand in District Kullu and Kotkhai and Jubbal in District Shimla for the convenience of the people. In the meeting, it was decided to create a new development block at Tiralodhar by reorganization of Paonta Sahib, the development block of Sirmaur district. With the reorganization of Sundernagar and Balh development blocks of Mandi district, it was also decided to create a new development block at Shegli in Dhanotu.

100 posts of JOA will be filled by direct recruitment in Secretariat
The cabinet decided to fill 100 posts of IT in Himachal Pradesh Secretariat by direct recruitment. The Cabinet has given its approval to fill up three posts of drivers in the Information and Public Relations Department on daily wage basis. It has also been decided to fill 5 posts of watchmen in the Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department on daily wage basis. The Cabinet also gave its approval for renaming the Government Senior Secondary School Hatwar in Bilaspur district as Shaheed Subedar Sanjeev Kumar Government Senior Secondary School Hatwar.

Martyr Subedar Sanjeev Kumar was posthumously awarded the Martyr Samman Kirti Chakra for his valor and courage. In the meeting, presentation was made to the cabinet on the situation of Kovid-19 in the state, preparations to deal with the possible third wave of corona epidemic and the examination results of the Board of Education, UGC guidelines and opening of educational institutions.

  • Dr. Approval has been given to purchase CT Scan-128 slice machine at Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur at a cost of Rs 4.28 crore.
  • Women Industrial Training Institute at Bharari will be converted into Co-educational Industrial Training Institute and two trades of Surveyor and Office Assistant-cum-Computer Operator with seats in Motor Vehicle Mechanic and Fitter. The converted trades will be started after the institute is shifted to its building.
  • Approval to fill up three additional posts for smooth functioning of newly upgraded Community Health Center Garh-Jamula in Kangra.
