State suffering from rain: Rain in 197 tehsils, cloud burst in Narmana village, JCB ledger near Kalavad, bridge collapsed in Jamnagar, many villages submerged

Flood in Orsang, Heran and other rivers of Chhota Udepur – Water entered the societies in Rajkot.

It rained heavily in the state on Sunday. In Narmana village of Jamjodhpur tehsil, due to cloudburst in the afternoon, the village was flooded with 10 rains in 3 hours. Kalavad received 6 inches of rain in four hours from 2 pm to 6 pm. Dhrol and Jodia tehsils received 3 inches, while Chhota Udepur 7.5 inches, Quant tehsil 6.73 inches. The Orsang river was flooded due to heavy rains in the upper areas. Sorath’s Manavadar received 5 inches of rain, Junagadh-Vanthali 4 inches. Apart from this, two and a half inches of water fell in Keshod, Medarda. The steps of Girnar were filled with water.

Rajkot received 4 inches, Jetpur 3.5 and Tankara 3 inches. On the other hand, North Gujarat has also received good rains. The maximum rainfall was 5 inches in Prantij of Sabarkantha, 3.5 inches in Unjha of Mahesana. 2 inches of water fell in Vapi in Valsad district, 4 inches of water fell in Kaprada in 4 hours. Godhra in Panchmahal received 3 inches of rain, Morvahadaf 2.5 inches, Jambughoda and Shehera 3 inches.

Water level of Narmada Dam increased by 10 cm in 1 day, water inflow in 29 reservoirs
There has been an increase in the water level of 29 dams of the state including Sardar Sarovar. However, detailed information will be available only on Monday. Two gates of Daman Ganga Dam were opened. Narmada Dam has increased by 10 cm in a day. With the arrival of 22,772 cusecs of water in the dam, the water level has gone up to 115.37 meters. At the same time, 4230 cusecs of water is being released in the canal.

41 villages electricity supply stalled
A total of 55 roads including state highways have been closed in Rajkot district. 19 in Chhota Udepur Panchayat, 3 in Tapi Panchayat, 24 in Valsad Panchayat, 2 in Dang Panchayat, State Highways are closed in Rajkot.
