- Home Minister gave orders to take action on more than 30 illegal hookah bars in Panchkula, Kalka, Pinjore
On Tuesday, Home Minister Anil Vij issued orders to close illegal hookah bars in Panchkula, Kalka and Pinjore areas at around 12 noon. Along with this, he ordered Panchkula Police to close all hookah bars in the district within an hour and take action against them.
Despite this, the Panchkula police raided 48 different places in the district after making false promises and registered a case against one and ended the matter. In such a situation, the question arises whether the hookah bars were running on the behest of the police and administration. During the raid, a case has been registered against Vaida hookah bar owner of Sector-5.
Police have registered a case against hookah bar owner Shivam Pathak under sections 188, 269 and 270. On Tuesday morning, former Deputy CM Chandramohan Bishnoi went to the house of Home Minister Anil Vij in Ambala and submitted a memorandum to get the illegal hookah bar closed in Panchkula. After which Vij had issued orders to the police to close the illegal hookah bar in the district. Several people including Congress leaders Vijay Bansal, Dipanshu Bansal were present along with former Deputy CM on the occasion.
12 illegal hookah bars in the city and action against one
There are 12 illegal hookah bars in Panchkula sectors. Surprisingly, only one of them was acted upon after the order of the Home Minister. There are three illegal hookah bars in Sector-5, two in Sector-8 and three in Sector-11. There are more than 10 illegal hookah bars on the Burjkotian road of Pinjore. Where parties go on till late at night every day, but there is no police action. At the same time, about half a dozen illegal hookah bars are running in Kalka too.
