In front of the Panjab University Vice Chancellor’s office, once again, it has been announced on behalf of the student organization to hold a sit-in on their demands. The Youth Akali Dal and Students’ Organization of India (SOI) will stage a sit-in outside the Vice Chancellor’s office from Monday demanding withdrawal of the report of the High Power Committee on Governance Reforms of Panjab University and holding of Senate elections.

Youth Akali Dal President Parbans Singh Bunty Romana has given information about this. Apart from this, he has made serious allegations against the central government and the Panjab University administration. He accused the Captain Government of Punjab and said that they are not taking care of the interests of the students, due to which the situation is getting worse.

Romana said that the letter from the university has reached Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and his officials regarding the Senate elections, but they do not have enough time to give permission for it. When elections can be held in many areas of the country, why can’t Senate elections be held in PU.

He alleged that Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajkumar’s office at present remains a den of RSS workers. Immediately after joining the Vice Chancellor went to the RSS office. According to him, since Monday, outside the Chancellor’s office, the Youth Akali Dal and the student organization Soi are staging a sit-in for their demands. This dharna will continue till that time till no action is taken on their demands.
