The Bhimkund waterfall, built between the mines of Talwara, Rajasthan, which is recognized in the world for the precious stones, has started flowing in the rain. This waterfall falls from a height of about 200 feet amidst rocky mountains. The surprising thing is that the pool in which the water of the spring falls does not dry up even in the heat of the rocks. Who comes out after tearing the rocks. There is also a cave between these rocks which is said to be about 40 kilometers long.

Bhimkund is about 5 km from Talwara town of Banswara headquarter. It is believed that the Pandavas had spent their exile at this place. Then Bhima had hit a mace to survive among the stones. Pataltod had become a well at this place. In this pit several meters deep, the water automatically comes up from the bottom after the rainy days. There is also a temple here, for whose darshan people keep coming. The Bhimkund waterfall becomes even more beautiful in the rain. But, this time with less rain, the inflow of water in the spring is also decreasing continuously.

There are no arrangements like security for Bhimkund’s waterfall and pool. Despite the presence of water, till date there is no railing or boundary around this pool. The sides of the ladder-like pool are occupied by smooth moss. Despite this, many people wash their hands and feet before going to the temple to sanctify themselves by getting down in the first and second steps between the water.

There is only one way to go here. Coming on Dungarpur road from the district headquarter, Talwara town is 12 km ahead. From here on the road leading to Maa Tripura Sundari, about a kilometer ahead of the pond, a narrow paved road turns on the right. After going one to one and a half kilometer ahead, two paths cross, but we have to proceed on the straight path. By which you will reach Bhimkund. Locals meet during the day, making it easy to reach the destination. However, it is not safe to pass through this route at night.

Cave reaches Beneshwar Dham
For Bhimkund, it is said that while standing facing the temple, there is a cave door in the stone wall in the left hand. Local people tell that the connection of this cave is directly to Beneshwar Dham, 40 km away from here. Some people even tried to go inside it for some distance, but came back due to suffocation. There is a similar belief that Bhimkund is a kind of Pataltod well. Local people say that there is also a cave between the stones under water, which directly leads to Ghotian Amba (pilgrimage site).
