Directors asking big Bollywood filmmakers to release films in theaters

Operators are also contacting Bollywood filmmakers and asking them to release the films in theaters instead of releasing them directly on the OTT platform. According to the operators, big budget films have not been released on the OTT platform, because they have not got much response from it. Films of many big production houses were waiting for the opening of cinema halls. Now it is expected that with the opening of the theater, the business will get back on track. Many cinema halls of the city have also been closed in the upheaval of 1 year.

Will start with 60% audience now
The first new film Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom is releasing in the city theaters on Thursday. According to the guidelines of the state government, only 60% of the audience can sit in a show in cinemas. City Plus Cinema manager Hemal Mistry said that after a long time, a new film will be released in the cinema halls from Thursday.
Most of the theaters have 20 to 30% advance booking. According to the guidelines of the state government, arrangements have been made for the spectators. Cinemas in Mumbai are closed till September 1. As soon as the cinema halls of Mumbai open, the future of the theaters of Surat will be decided on the basis of that.

Earnings expected on upcoming festivals
According to Hemal Mistry, 2 to 3 theaters in the city have been closed due to the absence of business for a year due to Corona. Other cinema halls are also facing financial crunch. Now with the opening of cinema halls, there is hope. There will be holidays on many festivals in the coming days. Big banner films will be released. It is expected to generate income.
