People sitting on dharna alleging negligence on the engineering department of the corporation.
Troubled by the problem of waterlogging, traders and local people of Dabua Colony Air Force Road demonstrated at the corporation headquarters and sat on a dharna. After raising slogans, people met Additional Commissioner Vaishali Sharma and submitted a memorandum. People said that if the problem is not resolved soon, then the corporation officials will not be allowed to enter their offices. This problem has persisted for five years. But the engineering department of the corporation is sitting blindly. Thousands of people are suffering.
Dilip Kumar, Gurmeet, Nishant etc. resident of Dabua Air Force Road told that Air Force Road of NIT is the biggest road. This road connects Dabua Colony, Jawahar Colony, Parvatia Colony, Nangla. Every day about 15 thousand people come from this road through this road. Due to the negligence of the corporation, this road gets waterlogged during the rainy season. Due to which all the shops have to be closed. They say that there are 3 schools on this main road, which makes it difficult for the children to come and go. He also said that a disposal has been made at the end of this road but his motor is always faulty. People also said that 100 feet of road takes the form of a drain every time it rains. All shops have to be closed due to knee-deep water. Complaints are given to the corporation officials but the problem has not been resolved till date. Angered by this, people demonstrated at the corporation headquarters on Thursday and sat on a dharna. People sat on dharna for about an hour.
