The students of MIT World Peace University in Pune have created the country’s first driverless car. The students who made it say that the idea of ​​​​building this car came in view of the accidents caused due to human error. At present, it is a prototype and after some other approvals, its commercial production will also start.

This car, made using Artificial Intelligence (AI), runs up to 40 kilometers on a single charge. The students who made it claim that this car is on the ‘Made in India’ concept.

Autonomous vehicle level-3 technology in the car
The students of MIT College of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication have together built this car. Yash Desai, associated with its construction, said that this autonomous vehicle is based on Level-3 and for the electric powertrain, he has used a BLDC electric motor and lithium iron phosphate battery.

Yash Desai further said that the steering wheel, throttle and brakes of this driveless electric car have been controlled with many different artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. Yash Desai said, ‘This car is capable of traveling up to 40 kilometers in a single charge. Its battery takes 4 hours to get fully charged. The developers also claim that this vehicle can be used in many different sectors like transportation, agriculture, mining.
