As soon as the body of Virbhadra Singh was taken from the ridge to Rampur, everyone wanted to capture this moment.

  • The queues at the Ridge to pay the last respect
  • People had also reached from 300 km inaccessible area Dodra Kwar

The latest example of how former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh used to live in the hearts of the people was seen on the Ridge. Not only himself, his opponents also reached the Ridge ground to get a glimpse. Even after traveling about 300 km from the remote area Dodra Kwar, people also reached Shimla for the last darshan of Virbhadra Singh.

On Friday, people gathered in Shimla to pay their last respects to their beloved leader and former Chief Minister of the state, Virbhadra Singh. Thousands of people from all over the state reached Shimla and paid their last respects to former CM Virbhadra Singh. Even before the police, arrangements were made in the city to rectify the system.

Vehicles of people coming from Upper Shimla were stopped near Delhi. From here he was sent to Old Bus Stand and Lakkar Bazar Bus Stand via bus. Similarly, people coming from low-lying areas were stopped near Shoghi Barrier and Tutu. The entry of tourist vehicles was also done through Tutikandi bypass.

However, some tourists also faced trouble due to this. Most supporters reached Shimla from Rohru and Rampur. Crying people looked forward to the last glimpse of their beloved leader. The former CM had done a better job of bringing remote areas into the mainstream.

In such a situation, when people got the news of his death, people reached Shimla for his darshan by renting a taxi worth thousands of rupees. Dharampal Singh, who reached Shimla from Dodra Quar, says that we worship Virbhadra Singh like a deity. Even if he is not among us, he still resides in our hearts and is our god and king.

No one else can do what he did for the development of our region. He says that he had to have many darshans outside, so he has reached Shimla by paying 10 thousand taxi fare. After 5 minutes of darshan, he has gone back to his house.

Virbhadra Singh is immortal, the city resonates with slogans

The city of Shimla resonated with the slogans of Virbhadra Singh Amar Rahe from 8 am. In the buses coming from Old Bus Stand, Lakkar Bazar Bus Stand, passengers were shouting slogans of Virbhadra Singh Zindabad and Amar Rahe. This was probably the first time where all the people of the state were together lost in the memories of Virbhadra Singh. Virbhadra Singh’s name was discussed in every shop and hotel from coffee house.
