Dr.Rana Preet Gill works in Animal Husbandry Department in Punjab. Presently he is Animal Health Officer in Hoshiarpur district. To date, he has published three books, including two novel College Years and The Misadventures of a Vet and a collection of Middles.

The book ‘Maya’, which is inspired by a real life, describes the natural competition between siblings in adolescence. Veterinary doctor Rana Preet Gill beautifully describes the emotional bond between two teenage sisters, Maya and Zeenia, in this book.

The book was released on Wednesday. Dr. Rana Preet Kaur talks about her fourth book. He told that this book talks about the story of two teenage sisters who face many challenges as they grow up with their age.

On the mood and other circumstances of many of the characters in the book’s story, Rana Preet Gill says that the story is partly inspired by a real-life incident that caught my attention as a teenager. Both the sisters live with their mother at Galaxy Apartments in a suburb of Dwarka. Younger sister Maya had chickenpox in her childhood, after which some marks were left on her face.

Since then she is full of negativity and always feels quite insecure. At the same time, the beauty and charm of elder sister Genea impresses everyone. Due to this comparison between the two sisters creates a rift between them and at one point in life Maya goes through something that she should not have done. Apart from this, there are many interesting twists in the story of the book.

This book was written in Pandemic

On the experience of writing this book during Pandemic, he said – During Pandemic, I spent most of my time reading and researching a new book which is a non-fiction project. These times have been extremely difficult and challenging for all of us. The time I got for writing during this time was in the form of a boon.
