Videographer’s inquiry was demanded: Approval to examine witness in defamation case against Rahul Gandhi

The High Court has approved the investigation of videographer and others as witnesses in the defamation case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi had made rhetoric against PM Modi during the election campaign. MLA Purnesh Medi had filed a defamation case in Surat court. He had said that Modi’s society has been insulted by Rahul’s statement.

On behalf of the complaining side, there was a demand to investigate the videographer who recorded the speech as a witness. The trial court had dismissed the MLA’s petition. A petition was filed in the High Court against the decision of the lower court. The High Court has ordered an inquiry.
