  • NHM director issued order – stock of medicines should be ensured

Large-scale preparations have been started in Jharkhand amid fears of a third wave of corona virus. Apart from setting up a task force, the government has started increasing medical facilities. From the installation of oxygen cylinders and concentrators to the preparation of Kovid beds, preparations are in full swing. The expert committee constituted for the preparations for the third wave of corona has asked to ensure abundant availability of medicines used in the treatment of corona in all the districts.

In contrast, the stock of medicines used in the treatment of corona has been found to be zero in many district hospitals, including the state’s largest Kovid Care Center, RIMS. The state government has taken this seriously. The stock of many essential medicines used in the treatment of corona in RIMS is zero. In this, medicines of Vitamin T-2500 IV, Motelukast with Levostrigen, Amlodipine, Dexomethosone, Favipiravir, Ostelavir are nil in the drug stock of RIMS.

The stock of medicines was checked by a team of drug inspectors. The stock of many medicines in the stores of Medical College Dhanbad, Dumka, RIMS and Sadar Hospital Chaibasa, Sahabeganj, Giridih etc. is zero. The campaign director of NHM has asked the officials to keep the stock of medicines.
