  • Will Not Charge Tuition Fees From Students Who Lost Their Parents To Corona; Relief Given To Destitute Students

Many important decisions were taken in the meeting of the syndicate held at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University on Wednesday. In the meeting, it was decided to waive off tuition fees of students who lost their parents from Corona, leave the colleges for irregularities with punishment instead of canceling them, start graduation course for BA Mass Communication and start telemedicine campaign.

In the telemedicine campaign, students will be able to take advice directly from the doctors appointed by the university, if needed. It was decided in the meeting that this year the university will waive the tuition fees of students whose parents or both have died due to Kovid-19. This will include those students who study in the departments running in the university campus. The university will ask the colleges to waive the tuition fees of such students.

Punishment for copying colleges

In the meeting of the Syndicate, instead of canceling the recognition of colleges in the case of mass copying, it was decided to leave them with punishment. It had three colleges. Now the fixed honorarium will not be given to the examination officers in these colleges. They will charge 4 times more penalty. The examination center of colleges has been cancelled. The students there will be given exams in the nearest colleges.

Formation of admission and fee committee

In the meeting of the Syndicate, it was decided to form an admission committee for the admission process for the year 2021. The university will start the admission process as soon as the 12th result is out. Apart from this, the university has decided to form fee committees for all colleges of South Gujarat for different courses. Approval has been given as to which posts will be included in this committee.

Now instead of 200 Rs 150 will have to be paid for the admission application form

This year, the admission application form fee has been reduced, giving relief to the students due to Kovid-19. Every year Rs 200 for admission application form was collected from the students. This year it has been reduced by Rs 50. Now Rs 150 will be charged from the students.
