Avalanche fell near the North Portal of Atal Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh, due to which the flow of Chandra River stopped.

An avalanche has occurred near the North Portal of Atal Tunnel in Lahaul Spiti, the tribal district of Himachal Pradesh, due to which a large amount of snow debris has fallen into the Chandra River. Due to debris falling in the river, the flow of Chandra River has stopped, due to which a lake is forming on the river near the North Portal of Atal Tunnel.

In view of this, the police and administration cordoned off the area after this incident.
