The court has ordered registration of a rape case against Lok Insaaf Party chief Ludhiana MLA Simarjit Singh Bains. In this case, a 45-year-old woman had filed a petition in the court against MLA Simarjit Bains and some of his associates. A woman from Ludhiana had leveled allegations including rape against MLA Bains. On non-registration of the case by the police, the woman, through advocate Harish Rai Dhanda and other associate lawyers, made allegations of rape, molestation, intimidation and conspiracy against MLA Bains and his associates in the court of Palvinder Singh, the light magistrate of police station division number six. 156(3) CrPC. In which the woman said that her husband had died. He had bought a house on loan. But after the death of her husband, the bankers started harassing her due to non-payment of loan installments. She had gone to MLA Bains for help in this regard. According to the woman, after coming in contact with Bains, she called him to his office on August 4, 2020 and raped her. In the same way, he was called to the office several times and raped. While the rest of the accomplices are involved in a conspiracy to threaten and pressure him. The woman’s application was quashed by the Judicial Magistrate’s court. On which the woman went to revision. On which Additional Sessions Judge RK Garg ordered to hear the matter again by sending the matter to the trial court. On which ACJM Harsimranjit Singh, after hearing the lawyers of both the sides, issued orders after accepting the application of 156 (3) CrPC filed by the woman. Victim’s lawyer Harish Rai Dhanda said that the attempt by the government to crush law and justice has failed and law has won. At the same time, Advocate Varun Gupta said that after hearing both the sides, the court has given the decision on the basis of the same after going through the facts.
