On Friday, 2 lakh 33 thousand 150 new corona infected were found in the country. During this 3.83 lakh people were cured, while 864 people died. A day before this, on Thursday, 2,51,209 people were found infected and 627 people died. Compared to the previous day, 18,059 fewer infected have been found, that is, a decrease of 7% has been seen in new cases.
At present, the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment in the country is 19.96 lakh. Since the beginning of the epidemic, about 4.08 crore people have been affected by the infection in the country.

- Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a review meeting on the situation of Corona in 5 states. Medical preparedness to deal with Omicron will be reviewed in the meeting to be held at 3 pm on Saturday. These states include Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.
- The Rajasthan government has decided to open schools from the month of February. According to the new guideline released on Friday, schools for classes 10 to 12 will be opened from February 1 and for classes 6 to 9 from February 10.
- In Haryana, universities, colleges and schools from class 10 to 12 will be opened from February 1. At the same time, theaters have been allowed to open with 50% capacity.
- Night curfew has been extended in Gujarat on 4 February. Night curfew will be in force from 10 pm to 6 am. At the same time, hotels and restaurants will be allowed to continue 24 hours home delivery service.
- According to the Health Ministry, the number of corona vaccinations in the country on Friday crossed 164.96 crores. At the same time, more than 48 lakh doses of the vaccine have been administered till 7 pm on Friday.

1. Kerala: 8 times the number of deaths compared to the previous day
On Friday, 54,537 new infected have been found in the state, while 30,225 patients have been cured and 94 people died. A day before this, 51,739 new infected were found on Thursday and 11 people died. There has been an increase of 27,98 in new cases on Friday as compared to Thursday.
So far, a total of 58.81 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 54.94 lakh people have been cured, while 52,786 people died. The number of active cases is 3,33,447. Here the positivity rate is 47.06%, the day before this the positivity rate is 44.60%.
2. Karnataka: 67.5% Omicron variant in Kovid sample
On Friday, 31,198 new cases of corona have been found in Karnataka. 71,092 patients have defeated Corona, while 50 corona infected have died. A day before this, 38,083 new cases of corona were found on Thursday and 49 corona infected had died. At present, the number of patients undergoing treatment here is 2.88 lakh, while the positivity rate is 20.91%.
State Health Minister K. Sudhakar said on Friday that the Omicron variant has been confirmed in 67.5% of the Kovid positive samples. At the same time, the presence of Delta variant was seen at 26%. During the second wave, 90.7% of the cases in the state were of the delta variant.
3. Tamil Nadu: The pace of new cases stabilizes

4. Maharashtra: More than 100 deaths in a day
In Maharashtra, 24,948 new cases of corona were found in the last 24 hours. During this 103 people died and 45,648 patients were cured. A day before this, on Thursday, 25,425 new cases were found and 42 people died. Now the total active cases in the state have come down to 2.87 lakh. So far, a total of 76.55 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 72.42 lakh people have been cured, while 1.42 lakh people died. The positivity rate is 16.53%, a day before the positivity rate was 17.47% on Thursday.
In Maharashtra, 103 patients have died due to corona in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number of deaths in a single day from the pandemic in the state since October last year. Let us inform that Maharashtra has registered the highest number of 76.55 lakh cases of corona in the country.
5. Andhra Pradesh: Positivity rate reduced by 2%
In the last 24 hours, 12,561 new cases were reported here, while 8,742 people were cured and 12 people died. On Thursday, 13,474 new cases were reported here and 9 people died. So far 22.48 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 21.20 lakh people have been cured, while 14,591 people have died. Active cases are 1,13,300. The positivity rate has come down from 32.26% to 30.91%.

1. Gujarat: 10 thousand more patients were cured of new cases
On Friday, 12,131 new cases were reported here, while 22,070 patients were cured and there were no deaths. Earlier on Thursday, 12,911 new cases were found and 22 people died. So far, more than 11.32 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.14 lakh people have been cured. The total active cases here are 1,07,915. The positivity rate is 9.93%.
2. Uttar Pradesh: There is a decrease of about 7 thousand in active cases
In the last 24 hours, 7,877 people were found infected here. 14,993 people have been cured and 14 deaths have been recorded. Earlier on Thursday, 8,857 people were found infected and 20 deaths were recorded. So far 19.96 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 19.08 lakh people have been cured, while 23,139 people died. 65,263 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state. There is a decrease in the number of new cases here for the last 4 days. Active cases i.e. the number of patients undergoing treatment has come down by 7130.
3. Rajasthan: Decrease in the number of new infected
On Friday, 8,125 new cases were reported here, while 14,884 people were cured and 21 people died. Earlier on Thursday, 9,227 new cases were reported and 20 people died. So far, 11.79 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.89 lakh people have been cured, while 9,202 people died. There are 80,488 active cases here.
4. Madhya Pradesh: More than 10 thousand deaths so far
Here 7,763 new cases were reported in 24 hours and 10,602 people were cured. During this 6 patients have died. A day before this, on Thursday, 9,532 new cases were reported here and 6 patients died. So far, more than 9.41 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.62 lakh people have been cured, while 10,602 people died. 67,945 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 10.89%.
5. Haryana: The pace of new cases has stabilized
In the last 24 hours, 4,630 people were found infected in the state. 8,181 people have been cured and 19 people have died. Here on Thursday, 5,770 people were found infected and 18 people died. So far, more than 9.37 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.95 lakh people have been cured, while 10,256 people have died. A total of 31,988 patients are currently undergoing treatment. There has also been a decrease in active cases by 3,570, while the positivity rate is 17.87%. The day before this, the positivity rate was 17.87%.
6. Delhi: Positivity rate continues to decline
On Friday, 4,044 new cases were registered in Delhi and 25 people died. 8,042 people have also recovered. A day earlier on Thursday, 4,291 new cases were registered and 34 people died. So far, more than 18.19 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.64 lakh have been cured while 25,769 have died. The positivity rate in Delhi was 30% on January 15, which has come down continuously to 8.60% on Friday.
7. Chhattisgarh: Number of new infected decreased
On the previous day, 3,919 new infected were found in the state. 5,075 patients were cured and 11 patients died. On Thursday, 4,645 new infections were found and 19 patients died. So far, 11.17 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.77 lakh people have been cured, while 13,809 people died. A total of 26,123 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 8.24%, the last day the positivity rate was 10.62%. The positivity rate was 15% on Wednesday.
8. West Bengal: Decrease in active cases by 9,996
On Friday, 3,805 new cases have been found in West Bengal. During this, 13,767 patients were cured, while 34 people died. On Thursday, 3,608 new cases were found here and 36 people died. A total of 19.86 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 19.20 lakh people have recovered. A total of 20,515 people have died. Active cases are 45,729. There has been a decrease of 9,996 in active cases on the last day. The positivity rate here is 6.15%. The positivity rate on Thursday was 9.02%.
9. Punjab: 1000 decrease in new infected
In Punjab, 3,096 new infected have been found on the last day and 30 people have died. 6,879 people have also recovered from the infection. A day before this, 4,093 new infected were found on Thursday and 48 people died. So far 7.35 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 6.84 lakh people have been cured, while 17,159 people died. Active cases are 33,036.
10. Bihar: Three times the number of patients recovered from the new case
On Friday, 1,654 new infected have been found here. 2,976 people were cured and 6 infected died. On Thursday, 1,034 new infected were found in the state and 1 had died. So far more than 8.20 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 7.99 lakh people have been cured, while 12,211 people died. A total of 8,993 patients are currently undergoing treatment, while the active cases have decreased by 1,328.
