Three observers have been appointed to oversee the election process of Panchayati Raj Institutions going to be held in tribal areas. Three HAS officers have been entrusted with this responsibility, who will take over their responsibility. The list of 10 officers had gone to the State Election Commission on behalf of the Personnel Department. Out of which three names have been selected. HAS officer Vivek Kumar, MD, Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, has been made supervisor of Pangi. On the other hand, Additional Director, Rural Development Department, Sanjeev Sood has been appointed as supervisor of Kaza. On behalf of the State Election Commission, Pankaj Sharma, Additional Director Excise, has been made observer of Keylong. Instructions have also been issued to the DCs of the respective areas to put their licensure officers along with these observers on behalf of the Election Commission.

12 will handle his responsibility
On September 12, these three observers will assume their responsibility, as the process of election will start from September 13. They have been asked to reach their designated places on time.
Their work will be for the complete scrutiny of nominations, scrutiny etc. and wherever there are complaints, they will have to be dealt with through the District Election Officers. These people will have to keep in mind that the process of election should be completed under the Kovid protocol. Because these elections are being held during the Corona period, so the protocol has been set. Its compliance has to be ensured here so that people are safe and elections are also held without any hindrance. For protection from Kovid, the budget will also be released on the demand of the concerned district election officers. The necessary equipment for the polling parties will be collected in the districts only.

Counting of votes will start on 4th

According to the election schedule, nomination papers can be filed on September 13, 14 and 15 from 11 am to 3 pm. Scrutiny of these nominations will take place on September 16 and can be withdrawn on September 18. The list of candidates will be released on this day evening. Polling will be held from 7 am to 3 pm on election day on September 29 and October 1. Counting of votes for Ward Member, Deputy Pradhan and Pradhan posts will be started immediately after voting. The counting of votes for Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad members will start from 8.30 am on October 4. In this way, the entire process of election will end on October 6.
