For the purpose of eliminating corona infection in Gurugram district, the Health Department has prepared a mobile vaccine van plan for the slum area of ​​the district. Under this plan, doses of anti-corona vaccine will be given through mobile vans in slums from July 1 to 9.

Giving information about this vaccination campaign to be run in the first week of July in the slums, Civil Surgeon of Gurugram Dr. Virendra Yadav said that a 9-day plan has been prepared for the introduction of anti-corona vaccine in the slums. Under the plan, persons of 18 years of age or above living in slums will be vaccinated with the Kovishield vaccine. The places that have been identified for the first four days of the campaign fall in the area of ​​the primary health center Tigra. After this, vaccination will be done in the slum areas of Primary Health Center Wazirabad from 5th to 8th July and the primary health center Nathupur on 9th July.

In charge of vaccination work, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. MP Singh informed that 200 vaccines will be administered daily in the slums from July 1 to 9 through mobile vaccine vans. He said that on July 1, the residents of Kalu’s slum of Sector 56 in the area under Tigra Health Center would be given a vaccine to prevent corona. Similarly, on July 2, in the slums built in front of Sheeshpal Vihar in Sector 49 and on July 3, people living in the slums built near the taxi stand of Sector 57 in village Tigra will be vaccinated against corona. In Sector 57 itself, vaccines will be administered on July 4 in a slum township called Dhale ki Khushi.

Dr. Singh informed that on July 5, the vaccines would be administered in Indira Colony-1 under Wazirabad Health Center and on July 6 in Indira Colony-2. Similarly, on July 7, people living in Ambedkar Colony near village Chakkarpur will be given vaccine and on July 8, people living in slums near Moti Vihar in village Silokara will be vaccinated. On the last day of the campaign, on July 9, under Nathupur Health Center, the residents of the slum located near the Samadhi of Rabindra Nath will be vaccinated against corona.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Virendra Yadav said that such efforts have been made in Gurugram district so that no person belonging to any section is deprived of getting the anti-corona vaccine. He said that the Health Department is reaching out to such sections of people who generally do not understand its importance or do not take much interest in getting the vaccine. In this episode, now the Health Department is focusing on the people living in the slum area. Earlier, for the first time in the country, a vaccination camp for transgenders was organized in Gurugram. Not only this, camps have been organized for widowed women and vaccines have also been given to the differently-abled to protect them from corona epidemic.
